Fortunately for me, my toe-ses have come back from the dead after a rejuvenating soak in blissfully hot water... Just saw kisstle's blog bout PPS n wanted 2 add on to it.. here is what she wrote:
After almost an hour of pointe work, the 'special' students of Premier Dance Academy has discovered a common visible, energy-draining side effect to the Medulla Oblongata.
The dialysis is called Post-Pointe Syndrome (PPS). The symptoms include:
~Weak and shaky leg muscles
~Temporary (or permanent) insanity [varies in different people]
~Excessive laughter for no apparent reason
~Blurting out random phrases/words
~Loss of energy and/or enthusiasm
~ The Leaning Tower of Pisa Effect; in other words, slant-walking (due to imbalance of toes)
Symptoms may vary in individuals depending how serious the PPS is.
One of the reasons for PPS is the excessive weight one's toes would have to bear. Straining (especially placing your body's weight purely on your toes) in general strains the brain, thus triggering these side effects.
I would like to add that another symptom of PPS is the sudden urge to do pirouettes (of any kind) despite a previous aversion to it.
Another symptom is the amazing ability to do fouettes (which unfortunately causes the room to spin and aggravates the symptoms of insanity, laughter etc.)

random
After hashing and rehashing different stories in my head, I've finally sat down to write-or type-one out. I'll be submitting it to Sidang Redaksi for preview...though i'm not sure it will be accepted. it was more of a write everything off the top of my head. haha...
I'm really sore all over right now. Not exactly pushing myself to the limit but enough to feel my body working. It's necessary to practice...especially since I have class w/ Mr. Gino tomorrow. Hopefully all goes well-actually I secretly enjoy the challenge.
This coming September, The Genee International Ballet Competition will be held in Singapore for the first time in the competition's history. A chance of a lifetime to go watch it. Unfortunately, tickets are sold out-have been almost immediately. So sad... Oh well, maybe next time-if there is one.
Anyway, dats all 4 nw...Ta2

Exams vs books
Im so exhausted!!!! Not only physically but also mentally? It's true...My brain is becoming "cramp" from reading too much!!!! Im sick of studying 4 exam...I wish i had the courage to fail but alas, the so called "perfectionist" side of me refuses to allow it. So I'm stuck here trying to decide to study or throw in the towel & just enjoy my books but problem is... I've got so many books... I cant decide which to read 1st.... Story of my life... Right now I'm deciding between books by Mary Balogh, Liz Carlyle and Rachel Gibson.... I'll most likely start with Rachel Gibson's 'True Love and Other Disasters' before moving on to Liz Carlyle's latest series..... Hmmm...lookie here, I've made up my mind..haha......
I guess a part of me is indecisive of what to read because i wanna write my own story.. I'm just too lazy 2 tk pen to paper though...
Oh well...till next time..
xoxo kat
